Matt Dickinson
Counselling and Psychotherapy in south-west London
As a counsellor and therapist, I work with individuals, often at a challenging point in their lives. We all experience difficulties and distresses and I offer a safe, compassionate and confidential space for you to explore thoughts and feelings. There are many different reasons why people come to therapy - it may be problems in a relationship, anxiety or depression, developmental trauma, bereavement, isolation and loneliness, issues around sexuality, a loss of self-esteem - and therapy can offer opportunities to try to find a better way to live.
I understand that therapy can feel daunting but I also know, from experience, that it can be life-changing. Whatever life throws at us, it can bring clarity and perhaps a renewed sense of purpose. With greater awareness, we can feel more in control and able to make better choices. At the heart of therapy is a desire to change something that is getting in the way of a full and healthier life.
How I Work
Counselling and Psychotherapy Consultation
I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation before the first session to understand what brings you to therapy and for you to ask any questions. I work on a short and long-term basis which can be agreed once the work together starts. Most sessions are in-person but there is the possibility to meet online.
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £70. I am available on Monday afternoons and evenings in East Sheen, SW14.
